5v5 Competitive Travel Teams

All-Boys: 8u-18u
NorCal Elite
NorCal Elite is the competitive heart of The Coach Sarna League. It is where the players who want to take this game as far as it will go come to find out how far that is. We field every age division for both boys and girls, from our youngest 8U players all the way through high school, every team selected through tryouts, and we play the 5-on-5 Olympic format against the best in the country.
We Compete on the Biggest Stages
In a single season our NorCal Elite teams put together a run of national invitations that no program from our region had ever managed. This is not one team. It is our boys and our girls, from the youngest 8U players to high school.
14U Boys. Won the NFL FLAG 49ers Western Regional and qualified for the NFL FLAG National Championships presented by Toyota in Indianapolis.
14u Boys. Earned a spot in the BATTLE National Championship in Nashville, Tennessee and is the first team from Northern California to do so.
10U Girls. Won the NFL FLAG Pacific Northwest Regional in Seattle and are headed to the NFL FLAG National Championships.
10U Girls and 8U Girls. Won their Gridiron Regional and are both headed to the national championship in Hawaii.
8U Girls, 14U Boys, and High School Girls. Represented the United States at the International Championship Invitational in Huntington Beach, against the national teams of Mexico and Panama.
The Road to Team USA and the Olympics
Through USA Football's National Team program, five of our NorCal Elite players have been selected for the 2026 Team USA games in Los Angeles for the Stars and Stripe Bowl and the Select Bowl. They are on track to become the first flag football junior Olympians ever to come out of Northern California, and with the sport joining the Olympic program at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, that path is real.
A Real Pathway for Girls
Girls flag football is one of the fastest growing sports in the country, and it is now a true pathway to a college roster and a scholarship. We field girls divisions at every age from 8U through high school, and we take every one of them seriously, because the next generation of college and national team players is on our fields today.
What to Expect
This is the higher-commitment side of the league, and we are honest with families about that from the start. Practices are typically twice a week for an hour and a half to two hours. Our competitive season runs from January through August, and tryouts are held in November or December. Battle is our official uniform provider.
Players earn their spots through tryouts, they train to a standard, and they represent the league everywhere they go. If your player is ready to be pushed and wants to chase this game at its highest level, this is the place.
